The conference room block at the DeSoto is now full, though they should still have rooms at their regular rates if you'd like to call them at 1-800-239-5118.

The conference will begin on Wednesday afternoon, with an opening reception early that evening. Light breakfast will be included on Thursday and Friday, as well as a lunch and keynote address from 12:00-2:00. At 5:00, we're invited to attend a exhibition and reception at the Location Gallery at 251 Bull St., right across the street from the hotel.

Renowned photographer Beowulf Sheehan, whose author photos of McCarthy are featured on this site, will give a keynote address featuring previously unseen photos of McCarthy at the Santa Fe Institute and his home, and reflections on a career building bridges between visual and textual storytelling.
